Every Halloween Claire goes a little overboard with decorations and costumes because it happens to be her favorite holiday. She went so far last year that everyone in the neighborhood avoids her house. Claire was pretty much a good sport about it, until Phil said what she did wasn't even scary. Of course, Claire being her "prove what I can do" self, she attempts to scare Phil at his pretty much empty open house. All plans fail until the very end when she tricks him into thinking she went home, and bringing the kids into it. Personally I think Claire and Phil's personality works perfectly with each other. Now Cam and Mitch, have some Halloween troubles of their own. Mitch accidentally told Lily that her real mom was a princess, sparking an obsession with princesses and a need to dress up as one every year. They find a way to tell her the truth and she handles it very well for a 3 year old. Now Gloria is experiencing more pregnancy problems. Her emotions are heightened, including her already spiked hot-hotheadedness and she ends up yelling at pretty much everyone in the show, but of course they understand. It was a fun episode, just like all the Halloween specials and it really made it clear just how close the separate families.
